This privately held company is engaged in the production of steel products. The company was incorporated in December of 1989 and has its registered office in Basauri, Spain. In 1990, it took over one of the best-known cold rolling mills in Spain --Alvarez Vazquez S.A. in Basauri near Bilbao. As Spain's principal supplier of steel strip packaging material, the company is able to take full advantage of the prospects offered by the Single European Market. It specializes in grades manufactured from carbon and alloyed steel, and also THEIS packaging steel strips. The company is part of the THEIS Group, which plays a leading role in the cold rolling industry. The group specializes in cold rolled flat-wires, solid-profiles grades of carbon alloy steels (hardenable), hardened materials, Thenox high-precision steel and THEIS steel strapping.
